MEC English Primary | High School is part of MEC Institutions. We have evolved today from our initial days as Model Education Centre, set up in 1972. Our 5-decade lineage in education field has been inspiring and pioneered quality education in the Yelahanka region in Bangalore.

50 Years of MEC Institutions
Founded in 1972, MEC Group steps into the 50th year of service in the field of education.
Reminiscing the days when our founder, Smt. Vishalakshamma made up her mind to quit the comfort of a teacher’s life to reaching out to transform the rural girls, this is indeed a huge moment for us at MEC. The journey from a single room, single class, single teacher has grown into a multi-institution group, which imparts learning at different levels and across syllabi. We are elated that one person’s determination to bring in change has resulted in a huge transformation in the community. A transformation that has been the driving force for a better quality of life.
What has been the hallmark of our journey? The unchanging character of the institutions and the zeal with which we have pursued our mission. We in-build a strong sense of Indian values through our learning processes. We prepare our students for tomorrow’s challenges with a strong grounding in the unchanging values that our nation’s rich history is bestowed with.
In this 50th year, we will be aware that we are collectively as one world, passing through the most challenging of times. We will play our part, in ensuring that our nation emerges the victor over the dreaded Covid.
Our students and staff are as excited to uphold the MEC flag. We will be delighted to greet our alumni and have them on our campus as the homecoming gift.

Courses
The school curriculum follows the three language formula with compulsory state language, Kannada. The formal education is based on NCERT syllabus.
One of the strengths of MEC School is its committed team of teachers. Our teachers are qualified in their subjects and well trained.
Academic Calendar
The school has a well planned calendar of events right in the beginning of every academic year. Every detail is planned in advance on a week-by-week basis. Themes are conceived and informed well in advance. Issues are discussed at length and platforms are created to enable self-expression for students.
